Registered Dental Hygienist Qualifications

• Works well with others (both children and adults)
• Current CPR (BLS) certification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Responsibilities

• Assist with oral health management of all patients, being a team player at all times
• Verify patient identity using name and date of birth prior to treatment, placing initials on the chart
• Obtain oral health assessment of each patient (new-baseline; follow-up)
• Review medical history and other pertinent oral health information
• Provide oral hygiene services including scaling, sealant and fluoride applications consistent with best practices
• Assist dentist as directed
• Provide oral health education and counseling to each patient based on standard practices
• Document services on the patient’s chart
• Travel daily to and from school sites
