Job summary

Elica Health Centers is seeking a qualified Dental Hygienist in California to deliver preventive care and periodontal therapies. You will work to improve patient oral health while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation and delivering compassionate service in a supportive team environment.

The role requires CA RDH licensure, BLS, and experience with digital x-rays and dental records. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and a stable schedule in a community-focused clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current Registered Dental Hygienist with California licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with scheduling, dental records, and digital x-rays.
• Customer service experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Knowledge of dentistry procedures, infection control, cleaning and sterilization.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will be willing and able to:

• Improve the oral health of patients through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other dental hygiene-related services.
• Enhance the efficiency of the clinic by performing expanded duties as allowable by law and as directed by the dentist.
• Ensure all patients enjoy a positive experience and are treated with the care and compassion expected.
• Ensure all patient records and related documentation are managed and maintained timely, accurately, and consistent with all HIPAA and related regulations and requirements.
• Ensure all tasks provided and associated with patient care, patient administrative processes, and related duties comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as clinic policies and procedures.
• Ensure direct patient care is delivered using established dental hygiene procedures.
• Ensure compliance and attention to all corporate policies and procedures.

Eligibility:

Benefits are available to employees working 30+ hours per week, effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Compensation Disclosure: $55.00 to $65.00 per/hr

The compensation range listed reflects Elica’s good‑faith estimate of the anticipated hiring range for this position in accordance with California pay transparency requirements. Final compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, and qualification.

Requirements

• The successful candidate has:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current Registered Dental Hygienist with state licensure.
• Current BLS Certification
• Experienced in computer skills including ability to use computers for scheduling, dental records and digital x-rays.
• Experienced in customer service/patient services or working with the general public, preferably in a dental office.
• Knowledge of and experience executing dentistry procedures, clinic infection control procedures, cleaning and sterilization of instruments, tray setup and materials.

Additional Requirements

• Must have a current and valid California driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.

The work environment is characteristic of a dental clinic environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
