Job summary

Elica Health Centers is seeking a Dental Receptionist to welcome patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and keep the front desk organized in a fast-paced dental office. You will support the EPIC Wisdom system and dental scheduling, collaborate with clinicians, and ensure a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, BLS certification, at least 1 year in a dental setting, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in dental setting preferred.
• Experience with EPIC Wisdom or dental scheduler preferred.
• Knowledge of Medi-Cal and payer terminology is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
• Maintain a positive environment focused on patient care.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily production targets.

Elica’s Dental program includes comprehensive dental services, dental residency program, mobile dental program, and school‑based dental program. We employ the latest technology to efficiently and effectively serve our Dental patients. Our state‑of‑the‑art Dental facilities are equipped with panoramic x‑rays and digital intraoral scanners to take impressions and engage patients in their oral health care. Our dentists and residents are certified in the use of the 9.3 micron CO2 hard and soft tissue laser, which allows us to perform fillings without the need for local anesthesia. This laser also allows us to provide additional services to our patients such as gingivectomies and crown lengthening without needing to refer to specialists. Our electronic health records system is integrated with our Medical and Integrated Behavioral Health departments to allow us to work together to improve the overall health of our community.

The Dental Receptionist will answer phone calls, greet patients, schedule appointments, maintain office appearance, and perform various clerical tasks. The Dental Receptionist will coordinate and organize appointments and administration to facilitate the efficient running of the dental office.

Compensation

Compensation: $25.00 to $30.25 an hour - Dependent Upon Experience

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in dental setting preferred
• Experience with EPIC Wisdom or dental scheduler preferred
• Knowledge of government (Medi‑Cal) and non‑government payers for dental insurances and dental terminology
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace software
• Ability to communicate in a respectful and professional manner with all staff
• Maintain a positive environment that is focused on patient care
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet daily production targets

Additional Requirements

• Must have a current and valid California driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.

The work environment is characteristic of a medical/dental clinic environment.
