Pinckney Implants and Periodontics is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join a periodontal-focused practice. You will perform periodontal cleanings, administer local anesthesia, and contribute to individualized patient care plans in a modern, tech-enabled setting.

Qualifications

• A valid Dental Hygienist license is required.
• Experience in a busy general dentistry or periodontal setting is highly desirable.
• Experience in periodontal charting, local anesthetic and SRPs.
• Proficiency with paperless chart notes.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and patient care best practices is essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Thorough periodontal cleanings using ultrasonic or cavitron, hand instrumentation & air polishing.
• Deliver local anesthetic & perform scaling and root planing; patients are often sedated during these procedures.
• Assist in developing individualized patient care plans based on assessments during periodic and comprehensive exams.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. This role involves working closely with patients, to provide exceptional periodontal services in a friendly and professional environment. The most up-to-date technology is available to elevate our patients' care including digital radiographs, CBCT and cloud-based dental software (remote access).

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
