Job summary

Periodontal & Implant Associates of Middle Tennessee (PIAMT) seeks a dependable Registered Dental Hygienist for our Nashville-area practice. RDH will perform periodontal maintenance, SRP, implant maintenance, and patient education, with a four-day week and 6:30 AM–3:30 PM hours.

Requirements: active Tennessee RDH license, CPR/BLS, strong clinical skills and teamwork; Open Dental and digital radiography experience preferred. Compensation: $44–$51 per hour; benefits discussed.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Tennessee dental hygienist license and graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical instrumentation, periodontal assessment, patient education, and documentation skills.
• Reliable attendance, professional communication, organization, and teamwork.
• Comfort with digital records and willingness to learn evolving clinical technology.

Responsibilities

• Complete periodontal assessments, charting, medical history reviews, and clinical observations.
• Provide periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and other hygiene services within Tennessee licensure and practice protocols.
• Recognize changes in periodontal or peri-implant health and communicate findings to the treating periodontist.
• Educate patients on periodontal disease, home care, implant maintenance, and follow-up.
• Obtain diagnostic radiographs and maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation.
• Coordinate care with periodontists, dental assistants, treatment coordinators, and admin team.
• Maintain operatory readiness, instrument processing, and OSHA/HIPAA/infection-control compliance.
• Support efficient patient flow, respectful communication, and a positive patient experience.

Periodontal & Implant Associates of Middle Tennessee (PIAMT)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional Fridays

Position Overview

PIAMT is seeking a dependable, compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our established periodontal and dental implant specialty practice. The ideal candidate delivers excellent clinical care, builds patient trust, communicates effectively, and contributes to a collaborative team. Periodontal specialty experience is strongly preferred; experienced general-practice hygienists interested in specialty care are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with Open Dental or comparable practice-management software, digital radiography, and electronic periodontal charting.
