PFH Preferred Family Healthcare in Hannibal, MO is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and clinical care. You'll work Monday–Friday, promote preventive dental health, and engage in community initiatives.

The ideal candidate will hold a Dental Hygiene degree, be licensed in Missouri, and possess excellent patient education skills. A comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and retirement savings plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Dental Hygiene.
• Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Missouri.
• Current CPR certification.
• Solid knowledge of dental hygiene phases, equipment, instruments, and materials.
• Strong patient education skills in preventive dentistry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional dental cleanings and educate patients.

Job Summary

Dental Hygienist – Full‑time, Monday–Friday 8:00AM–5:00PM at Clarity Healthcare – Dental Services, Hannibal, MO. Sign‑on bonus $7,500 with a 3‑year commitment. Provide high‑quality preventive and clinical care while educating patients on lifelong oral health. This role focuses on prevention‑focused dentistry and building patient relationships in a supportive, mission‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote preventive care excellence by performing professional dental cleanings, including oral prophylaxis, and educating patients on proper brushing, flossing, nutrition, and preventive dental care.
• Be a patient advocate by applying topical fluorides and sealants, and screening for cavities, periodontal disease, oral cancer, and relevant medical history concerns.
• Deliver high‑quality clinical care through taking and processing dental radiographs, performing supra‑ and subgingival scaling, root planing, and managing acute periodontal conditions.
• Support advanced dental services, including assisting with periodontal surgical procedures and administering local anesthetics when qualified and licensed.
• Ensure accurate documentation of thorough, timely, and precise patient medical and dental histories.
• Contribute to team growth by supporting and mentoring dental assistants and fostering a collaborative, positive clinical environment.
• Make a community impact by participating in dental education and prevention initiatives that promote oral health awareness.
• Remain flexible and team‑oriented by assisting with additional duties as needed to support clinic operations and patient care.
