Dental Hygienist Job Responsibilities

• Promote dental health through prophylaxis, oral cancer screening, radiographs, and charting in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.
• Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping them.
• Provide information and answer questions from patients and staff.
• Maintain and sterilize instruments.
• Select appropriate materials and evaluate patients' oral health.
• Perform prophylaxis, removing deposits and stains.
• Detect disease via screenings, examinations, and radiographs.
• Apply fluoride and other agents to prevent decay.

Job Requirements
