Job summary

Santa Maria Pediatric Dental Group is seeking a fun, friendly registered dental assistant and dental assistant who enjoys working with children. You will provide direct patient care, record treatment notes, and support the dental team in a high-volume pediatric environment.

Responsibilities include chairside assisting, taking diagnostic X-rays, coronal polish and sealants (RDA duties), preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Dental assistant experience with pediatric care preferred.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization and dental instruments.
• Excellent customer service and record keeping.
• Must work full-time Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:30pm.

Responsibilities

• RDA duties including coronal polish and sealants.
• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort.
• Set up instruments, equipment and materials.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records including charting.

• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Keep operatory clean and well-stocked.

We are looking for candidates with excellent customer service, who are well-organized with great attention to detail and are a team player. You should be able to follow instructions and follow all dental regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct patient care and able to accurately record patient records and treatment.

Skills

• RDA license with coronal polish and sealants preferred but not necessary
• Bilingual English and Spanish Preferred
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
