Job summary

Children’s Dental FunZone is seeking a registered dental assistant with orthodontic experience for a pediatric dental practice in Los Angeles. The role involves assisting in orthodontic procedures, maintaining a clean and organized operatory, and providing patient education on oral hygiene.

The ideal candidate loves working with kids, demonstrates excellent communication, and holds a current RDA license with X-ray certification. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; two Saturdays per month are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a valid X-ray license.
• Must be a licensed Registered Dental Assistant.
• Must love working with children.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and set up trays; clean and sterilize instruments.
• Maintain and test equipment (sterilizer, x-ray dosimetry, x-ray processor).
• Pour models and conduct lab procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Perform charting and document exam findings.
• Keep operatory and lab clean, stocked and safe.

• Mon-Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm & 2 Saturdays 8:00 am-2:00 pm
• Pay $25.00-$30.00 (Negotiable) subject to change based on experience

RDA Job Duties:

• Familiarity with dental terminology, materials, medications, and instruments used during dental procedures.
• Perform the following tasks to ensure efficiency: clean, sterilize instruments and set up trays.
• Maintain and test equipment (sterilizer, x-ray dosimetry, x-ray processor, etc.)
• Effectively pour models and conduct other lab procedures.
• Happily, instruct patients in oral hygiene and preventive dental care education.
• Perform charting activities and document exam findings in the patient records.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and well-stocked operatory and laboratory.
• Safely performs all duties of protective protocols to ensure personal safety as well the safety of others.
