Location: Napa Valley, California

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Compensation: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Expected Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our high-performing dental team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about patient care and eager to contribute to the efficiency and success of our practice. You will support clinical operations and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Capture and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Dentrix or comparable software.
  • Assist with laboratory tasks including impressions and support for prosthodontic procedures.
  • Monitor and document patients' vital signs prior to procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
  • Support front office duties, including answering phone calls and managing patient inquiries as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
  • Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental medical coding is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control.
  • Prior experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster patient trust and team collaboration.
