Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant

Location: Napa Valley, California

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Compensation: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Expected Hours: 30-40 hours per week

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our high-performing dental team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about patient care and eager to contribute to our practice's efficiency and success. You will support clinical operations and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during various clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
  • Capture and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar software.
  • Support laboratory tasks including impressions and prosthodontic procedures.
  • Monitor and document patients' vital signs prior to procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
  • Support front office duties, including answering calls and managing patient inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Dentrix or similar software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental medical coding is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control.
  • Prior experience in a dental clinic is highly desirable.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
