Job summary

AACI is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to support chairside procedures at our San Jose, CA office. The role includes taking X-rays, reviewing patient histories, educating patients on oral hygiene, and maintaining accurate records.

You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications include active California RD A license, X-ray certification, and coronal polishing; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Active California RD A license required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an RDA.
• Dental X-Ray Certification required.
• Coronal polishing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside with procedures.
• Take x-rays and review patient health history.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-exam care.
• Document dental care services in patient records.
• Prepare treatment room and ensure proper setup.
• Sterilize room, equipment and instruments.
• Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges.
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team.
• Utilize medical database, scheduling, and telemedicine software.
