Job summary

PHD Dental Group in Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused team. The role supports general and pediatric dentistry, sterilization, radiography, and patient education while maintaining accurate records and a positive patient experience.

Qualified candidates hold a Certified Dental Assistant certification, have at least 1 year of chairside experience, and are bilingual in Spanish and English to communicate with diverse patients.

Qualifications

Must hold Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification.
Minimum 1 year chairside assisting experience.
Bilingual in Spanish and English with strong communication skills in both languages.

Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance during general and pediatric dental procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms per infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative duties as needed.
Communicate professionally with patients and team to ensure smooth workflow.

Pay

$18 - $25 per hour

Shift & Schedule

Monday to Friday
Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday: Closed

Requirements

Certified Dental Assistant certification (mandatory)
Minimum 1 year of chairside assisting experience
Bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong communication skills in both languages
Ability to lift and carry 10–25 lbs, and perform repetitive hand/wrist movements
Capability to stand, sit, bend, twist, and communicate clearly for extended periods

Preferences

Experience in a fast-paced dental office environment
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures
