Job summary

Houston Heights Dentistry in Houston, TX is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused clinical team. You will provide chairside assistance, take digital X-rays, monitor patient vital signs, and help maintain a smooth clinical workflow.

The ideal candidate holds a valid RDA license, is fluent in English (Spanish bilingual encouraged), and has experience with Open Dental software.

Qualifications

Pay

• $14 - $18 per hour

Shift & Schedule

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements

• Licensure: Valid state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).

Job Description

• Chairside Assistance: Support the dentist during a variety of clinical procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort.
• Clinical Imaging: Capture high-quality digital X-rays and impressions; assist with 3D scanning as required (training provided).
• Patient Support: Greet patients, take vital signs, and explain treatment steps clearly to help put patients at ease.
• Infection Control: Maintain rigorous sterilization standards, including surface decontamination and instrument processing.
• Documentation: Efficiently update patient charts and manage clinical documentation within the Open Dental EMR system.
• Operational Flow: Help manage patient flow and coordination to ensure the practice operates smoothly.
