Job summary

MyCHN (Community Health Network) is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant in the Greater Houston area to support clinical and administrative dental functions with high standards of patient care and safety.

The role requires an accredited dental assisting program, an active RDA license, CPR/BLS, and the ability to travel between clinic locations within a nonprofit FQHC setting dedicated to access to quality oral health care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
• ActiveRegistered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel between clinic locations and work flexible schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients by answering questions and helping resolve minor concerns.
• Serve as chair-side assistant to the dentist and prepare operatories for procedures.
• Expose and process dental radiographs in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards.
• Ensure proper disposal of contaminated materials according to safety regulations.
• Monitor and maintain operatory supplies and assist with inventory control.
• Support both clinical and administrative functions as needed.
• Assist with patient flow, documentation, and completion of records and forms.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members.
• Follow all departmental protocols for patient preparation and discharge.
• Support quality care by adhering to organizational, clinical, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in additional duties aligned with organizational goals and patient care needs.

What You Bring:
