Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in gaining the patient’s commitment for treatment with urgency.
• Participate in providing a positive patient experience by addressing individual needs and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment; prepare patients for treatment; assist the doctors to ensure efficient, quality dental care.
• Perform x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to ADA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatory procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with required state training and certifications.
• Certifications/licenses as mandated by state (e.g., radiograph exposure, sealant application).
• Associate degree or certificate from an accredited institution preferred.
