Job summary

Balster Pediatric Dentistry in Cedar Rapids is seeking full- and part-time Registered Dental Assistants to join a fast-paced pediatric practice. The role includes chairside support, cross-training to assist scheduling staff, and opportunities to assist in the operating room at St. Luke's UnityPoint Hospital.

You will complete expanded functions nitrous oxide training after hire, in a fun and high-energy setting at our new state-of-the-art facility with a strong pediatric focus.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Iowa Registered Dental Assistant license with radiography.
• CPR certification required.
• Pediatric experience and Eaglesoft knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting in a pediatric dental setting.

Job description

Seeking full and part time Registered Dental Assistants to fulfill chairside position in a fun, growing pediatric dental office. Successful applicantwill be cross trained to support the scheduling staff. Theywill also be trained to assist in the operating room at St. Luke's Unity Point Hospital. Once hired, the applicant must complete the expanded functions nitrous oxide course. The pediatric dental office is a high energy and fast paced environment, and we have recently moved into a new state of the art facility.

Requirements:

• Applicant must be hard-working, personable, and able to multi-task.
• Applicant must act as a team playerand are flexible to changes within the schedule on a daily basis.
• Applicantmust have a currentRegistered Dental Assistant licensein the state of Iowa with added qualification in dental radiography.
• Applicant must have current CPR.
• Pediatric experience and knowledge of Eaglesoft preferred, but not required.

Shift:

• Office hours include Monday – Thursday 8 am to 5 pm.
• Fridays Dr. Balster and Dr. Pfohl areat the hospital and applicant will rotate in the surgery schedule.
