Salary Range: $23.50 - $32.75 / Hourly

Job Overview: Registered Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role of the RDA is to assist the dentist in gaining the patient’s commitment to the best possible treatment with urgency. Key duties include:

1. Utilizing x-ray time to promote the qualities of the dentist, learning patient expectations, and educating them with intra-oral pictures.
2. Using effective chair-side skills and supporting the dentist’s diagnosis after examinations.
3. Following procedures for safety, infection control, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment.
• Participate in the Perfect Patient ExperienceÔ by focusing on patient needs and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment, prepare patients, and assist during treatments.
• Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment per ADA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, with required state training/certifications.
• Relevant certifications/licenses as mandated by state (e.g., radiograph, ultrasonic scaling).
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
