Magic Smiles Dental and Orthodontics in Bakersfield seeks an experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support pediatric and general dentistry in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

You will perform chairside assistance, operate imaging equipment, and ensure sterile, compliant treatment rooms while communicating clearly with families and teammates.

Dynamic Clinical Environment

Pay

• $20 - $30 per hour

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift

Operating hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Requirements

• License & Certification: Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
• Software Experience: Open Dental
• Years of Professional Experience: Experienced Dental assistant with 1+ years of practice

RDA Certification: Current and valid Registered Dental Assistant credential is required.

Clinical Experience: Previous clinical experience in general or pediatric dental assisting.

Software Proficiency: Familiarity with dental EMR systems such as OpenDental.

Core Knowledge: Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, sterilization protocols, HIPAA regulations, and dental specialties.

Deliver chairside assistance, prepare treatment operatories under aseptic standards, capture X-rays and 3D scans, and execute four-handed dentistry.

Patient Management

Record vital signs and medical histories in EMR systems, manage HIPAA-compliant documentation, and provide oral hygiene instruction to patients and parents.

Operations & Sterilization

Sterilize clinical instruments, manage operatory supplies, and maintain organized treatment rooms.
