Job summary

Yucca Dental Center PC in Artesia, NM is seeking a qualified Registered Dental Assistant to join our caring team. You will assist the dentist during exams and procedures, welcome patients, and handle scheduling and light administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will hold an RDA license, have at least two years of experience, and possess CPR/BLS certification, strong computer and data entry skills, and excellent communication and patient-service abilities.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be state-licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).
• Minimum two years of dental assisting experience.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in computer and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable.
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer questions.
• Take vital signs and accurately record medical history.
• Prep sterilized equipment and provide to the dentist for exams and procedures.
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies.
• Schedule appointments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
• Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) state licensure
• Previous experience as a dental assistant
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care
