Position: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Registered Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role of the RDA is to assist the dentist in delivering the best possible treatment with urgency. Key duties include:

1. Assisting the dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment
2. Participating in the Perfect Patient ExperienceÔ by focusing on patient needs and concerns
3. Maintaining a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment
4. Completing x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed
5. Instructing patients on postoperative and oral health care
6. Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment according to ADA guidelines
7. Ensuring compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with mandated training courses for certification, licensure, or registration
• Relevant certifications/licenses as required by state (e.g., radiography, coronal polish, ultrasonic scaling, etc.)
• Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited institution preferred
