Vous serez en charge d'évaluer les besoins nutritionnels des patients et de fournir une éducation nutritionnelle essentielle en milieu clinique. Ce rôle exige une inscriptivité auprès de l'Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics et privilégie une expérience dans un environnement d'accompagnement direct des patients.
Registered Clinical Dietitian conducts initial and ongoing nutrition assessments for patients, provides nutrition education to patients and staff, and ensures adherence to dietary guidelines and safety protocols. Requires registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and relevant state licensure, with continuing education to stay current in the field. Works primarily in clinical settings, supporting patient health through customized nutritional care plans.
Job Summary
Education
Required: Any program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that leads to registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN). Basic knowledge of subspecialty area (including nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, oncology, etc.) Must obtain approximately 15 hours of continuing education credits per calendar year. Keep current of new findings/research.
Experience
Preferred: Six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Required: Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State Dietitian license must be achieved within the first 6 months of employment. Must obtain a food handler's permit from the Cleveland County Health department before hire (or within 1 week of hire). Completion of general and patient care orientation is required prior to providing patient care.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Required: Must be able to use decision making skills to make rational & quick decisions regarding prioritizing of patient care. Have the foresight to recognize unsafe work conditions and/or practices. The ability to safely use chemicals and equipment for the patients, visitors and staff. Knowledge base for use of different formula's when assessing patient's nutritional needs.
