This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced wealth management professional who enjoys building relationships with clients and wants a role that extends beyond traditional account administration. The person hired will work closely with Financial Advisors and clients throughout the wealth management process, with the opportunity to eventually participate in client meetings in a second-chair capacity.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive, proactive, and highly personalized service.
- Partner closely with Financial Advisors to manage client relationships and ensure follow-up items are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare for client review and planning meetings by gathering account information, updating client data, preparing reports, and coordinating meeting materials.
- Participate in client meetings as experience and knowledge of the firm's clients grow, with the opportunity to eventually serve in a second-chair capacity alongside the Financial Advisor.
- Track and execute action items resulting from client meetings, coordinating with advisors, clients, custodians, and other professionals as needed.
- Assist with the financial planning process, including gathering client information, maintaining accurate data, and updating financial planning software.
- Handle account opening, maintenance, transfers, distributions, contributions, beneficiary changes, money movement, and other client service requests.
- Coordinate with custodians and other third-party providers to resolve client service and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate and complete client information within the firm's CRM and other technology platforms.
- Proactively manage workflows, deadlines, and outstanding client requests to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Assist with required documentation and help ensure client records remain current and compliant with firm and industry requirements.
- For appropriately licensed individuals, assist with trade-related requests and other activities permitted by the individual's registrations and firm procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve client service processes, workflows, and the overall client experience.
- Collaborate with other members of the team and provide support across the practice as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Client Service Associate, Registered Client Service Associate, Wealth Management Associate, or similar role within a financial advisory, RIA, or wealth management environment.
- Strong understanding of investment accounts, financial products, and the day-to-day service needs of wealth management clients.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client requests, workflows, and deadlines simultaneously.
- A proactive mindset—you anticipate what clients and advisors will need rather than simply waiting for instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to interact directly with clients.
- Professional presence and an interest in becoming increasingly involved in client relationships and meetings.
- Comfortable learning and working across CRM, financial planning, portfolio reporting, custodian, and other wealth management technology platforms.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Education & Licensing
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant industry experience will be strongly considered.
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 preferred, but not required.
- Experienced wealth management candidates who do not currently hold the Series 7 and 66 are encouraged to apply.
- This position is particularly well suited for someone who enjoys the client service and relationship side of wealth management and wants the opportunity to become more involved in the planning and client meeting process over time.
