Job summary

Ascension, a leading nonprofit Catholic health system, is hiring for a Clinic role in Chattanooga, TN. This day shift, full-time position supports patient intake, vital signs, and direct assistance to physicians and APPs, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth visits.

You will maintain exam rooms, process orders for labs and radiology, and coordinate scheduling and records. Minimum requirements include BLS, Medical Assistant certification, and high school diploma or GED; phlebotomy

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with phlebotomy is a plus.

• Maintain clean, stocked examination rooms and process orders for labs, radiology, and medications.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Clinical & Patient Care: Conducted patient intake and vital sign measurements while directly assisting physicians and APPs with exams, treatments, and accurate clinical chart documentation.
• Diagnostics & Room Operations: Maintained sterile, fully stocked examination rooms and precisely processed provider orders for laboratory work, radiology, and medications.
• Administrative Coordination: Streamlined daily clinic operations, managing multi-line phone systems, scheduling, and patient records to ensure high efficiency and smooth patient flow.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

One year experience phlebotomy.
