Ascension Living in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical visits in the Clinic department. This full-time Day shift offers a competitive hourly salary and exposure to a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include patient intake, vital signs, assisting physicians, room preparation, and processing orders for labs and imaging. A High school diploma or GED is preferred, with BLS and Medical Assistant certification required.

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Medical Assistant credential obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Clinical & Patient Care: Conducted patient intake and vital sign measurements while directly assisting physicians and APPs with exams, treatments, and accurate clinical chart documentation.
• Diagnostics & Room Operations: Maintained sterile, fully stocked examination rooms and precisely processed provider orders for laboratory work, radiology, and medications.
• Administrative Coordination: Streamlined daily clinic operations, managing multi-line phone systems, scheduling, and patient records to ensure high efficiency and smooth patient flow.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
