Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to cover our hospital and outpatient locations. Shift/Hours: Full-Time - 40 hours/week, 1st Shift.

Join our imaging team to perform echocardiography studies and provide high-quality cardiac care. You’ll work with leading clinicians, use advanced ultrasound technology, and contribute to accurate diagnoses and compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound degree program and/or qualifying experience per IAC guidelines.
• Registered in non-invasive imaging with active ARDMS or CCI registry; new grads have 1 year to obtain registry.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography studies to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Record, analyze, and report Echocardiography results with accuracy.
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and excellent patient care during patient interactions.

The Registered Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing cardiac studies on patients that support treatment and diagnosis of cardiac disease. To perform, record, and report all Echocardiography procedures using sophisticated procedures requested. Must demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Qualifications

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

Graduate of an accredited (or accreditation eligible) cardiovascular ultrasound degree program and/or qualifying experience in accordance with IAC guidelines.

Registered in non-invasive imaging with active status registry from ARDMS or CCI. New graduates will have 1 year after graduating to obtain registry.

Specialized Knowledge:

Advance use of Doppler-continuous wave, pulse, color flow. Ability to provide professional preliminary reports.
