Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform cardiac studies, primarily in outpatient exams, while assisting with inpatient studies at the Ft. Thomas Hospital.

Responsibilities include executing Echocardiography procedures, producing reports, and maintaining high standards of patient care. Requires active ARDMS/CCI registry and accredited training in cardiovascular ultrasound.

Qualifications

• Requirements include an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound degree or equivalent experience.
• Active ARDMS or CCI registry in non-invasive imaging is required.
• Familiarity with Doppler-continuous wave, pulse, and color flow is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac studies to support treatment and diagnosis of cardiac disease.
• Record and report Echocardiography procedures using standard protocols.
• Demonstrate empathy and professionalism in interactions with patients and families.

The Registered Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing cardiac studies on patients that support treatment and diagnosis of cardiac disease. The Registered Cardiac Sonographer performs, records, and reports all Echocardiography procedures using sophisticated procedures requested. Demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

Graduate of an accredited (or accreditation eligible) cardiovascular ultrasound degree program and/or qualifying experience in accordance with IAC guidelines.

Registered in non-invasive imaging with active status registry from ARDMS or CCI. New graduates will have 1 year after graduating to obtain registry.

Specialized Knowledge:

Advance use of Doppler-continuous wave, pulse, color flow. Ability to provide professional preliminary reports.
