Job summary

Job Summary

Registered Behavior Technician, SCTT delivers behavior-analytic services as part of an interdepartmental treatment team to consumers ages 12 and older diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disability and co-occurring behavioral health diagnoses who display severe dysfunction in daily living.

Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior intervention plans to assist consumers in developing skills and overcoming challenging behaviors.
  • Work closely with consumers to conduct functional assessments and provide consistent, ongoing support.
  • Assist consumers with developing skills such as communication, social interaction, self‑help, and academic skills.
  • Promote positive behavior change by addressing challenging behaviors and teaching emotion regulation skills.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate consumers’ progress and trends.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure care plans incorporate SMART goals that are data‑driven and consumer‑centered.
  • Work alongside treatment team members to carry out interventions identified in the care plan.
  • Document assessments and interventions timely and with high quality, within organizational standards.
  • Assist with crisis planning to proactively support consumers in navigating potential crises safely.
  • Respond to urgent/crisis consumer needs with support from Supervisor, Crisis Services, and Treatment Team by developing plans and interventions.
  • Engage in daily treatment team meetings, prepare to report on consumer updates, and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with consumers, their supports, treatment team members, and community partners.
  • Engage in professional development check‑ins with Supervisor, prepared for case consultation and professional development topics.
  • Attend all mandatory in‑services, continuing education and annual health requirements.
  • Comply with all Corporate Compliance policies, practices and procedures.
  • Report all unethical activities to supervisor, Corporate Compliance Office, Values Hotline number or Human Resource Director.
  • Comply with all OSHA and safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe practices or accidents to supervisor, Safety Supervisor and/or OSHA Coordinator.
  • Be compliant with regulations concerning the privacy and security of consumer’s protected health information (PHI) as established by HIPAA.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and follow all policies and procedures set by the agency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Registered Behavior Technician Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with co‑occurring (IDD/BH) population
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, initiative, organizational, and coordination skills
  • Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
