Family of Kidz is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a school-based position in Northern Westchester County, NY. You will support students with special needs in the classroom, following district calendars and collaborating with teachers and therapists to implement behavior plans.

The role is part-time (roughly 25–32 hours per week) with daytime hours, compensation $26–$31 per hour and opportunities for supervision and professional development within a supportive team.

Competenze

• RBT credential mandatory for the role.
• Minimum 6 months experience with children or adolescents with special needs.
• High School Diploma required; college coursework preferred.
• Reliable transportation to school-based site.

Details about this opportunity:

• Location: Northern Westchester County, NY (school based)
• Hours: Hours vary based on school district (Ex: Mon - Fri 8am - 3pm) Daytime hours 25-32 hours per week
• Schedule: Follows the school district calendar, including holidays and breaks
• Compensation: $26-$31/hourly

Responsibilities:

• Respond to the goals, needs and requests of students and supervisors, on an individualized basis, and in a professional manner.
• Work closely with school personnel (e.g. classroom/ special teachers, TAs, school psychologist, social worker, behavior consultant, related service provider) to ensure the student's success in the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with a behavior consultant and/or clinical supervisor to provide academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support to student with special needs
• Assist with classroom assignments under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Implementation of behavior support plans/ BIP's or skill acquisition programs (data collection, progress reporting, CPI training and implementation)
• Help with daily living tasks, such as mobility, hygiene, and transitions.
• Assist the student with moving between classrooms and other school locations, including the cafeteria, bathroom, and therapy sessions
• Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding students in accordance with State and Federal regulations
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

• RBT Credential mandatory
• Minimum of 6 months working with children or adolescents with special needs in a supervised setting
• Minimum of High School Diploma required
• Must have reliable transportation
• Successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education or related field preferred
• Experience with students with autism and/or maladaptive behaviors preferred
• Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
• Bilingual is a plus
