Thrive Behavior Centers is a locally owned company, founded in 2020. The Behavior Technician (BT) is a valued part of our team and the clients' therapy team. As such, the BT is responsible for providing direct ABA therapy to clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Our clients are children ages two to ten diagnosed with Autism who need support to engage and navigate the world. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Behavior Technicians report to the Clinical Director and are expected to:
- Work with clients one-on-one under supervision, implementing ABA programs as prescribed.
- Monitor clients continuously, intervening as needed for safety and wellbeing.
- Administer behavioral interventions and implement protocols for clients with communication deficits or safety risks.
- Build rapport with clients through reinforcement and engagement.
- Respect client dignity and communicate appropriately with clients and families.
- Demonstrate ABA competency and respond to supervisor feedback.
- Accurately collect session data using clinical management software.
- Assist with physical needs and personal care.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and families.
- Follow all safety protocols and ethical standards.
- Maintain documentation and supervision requirements for RBT certification.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Create session notes and reports for parents.
- Assist with tasks such as material creation and center organization.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Obtain RBT certification within 60 days and maintain it.
- Notify supervisor six weeks prior to certification expiration.
- Uphold BACB ethical standards and supervision requirements.
- Current CPR/AED or BLS certification from the American Heart Association, including in-person skills demonstration.
