Job summary

Behavioral & Educational Solutions (BES) is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children with ASD in Silver Spring, MD, both at the BES clinic and in client homes.

Paid RBT training is available for qualified candidates, and those not certified at hire must obtain the credential within 90 days. Evening shifts (4:00 PM–7:00 PM) are preferred, with part-time opportunities currently open.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous childcare experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel to client homes, schools, or clinic locations as needed.
• Ability to pass required background screenings.
• Willingness to obtain RBT certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy sessions.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills.
• Support positive behavior development and behavior reduction goals.
• Collect and record accurate session data.
• Complete session notes and documentation promptly.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, caregivers, teachers, and other service providers.
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development.

Behavioral & Educational Solutions (BES) is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician providing one-on-one ABA therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Already certified as an RBT? We'd love to hear from you.

Not currently certified? We can help you get started. BES provides the required 40-hour RBT training for selected candidates. Employees who are not certified at the time of hire must be willing and able to obtain their RBT credential within 90 days of employment.

Important Requirement

Experience working directly with children is required.

Applicants must have prior childcare experience such as:

• Childcare or daycare

• Teaching or teacher assistant roles

• Paraprofessional positions

• Camp counselor experience

• After-school programs

• Early childhood education

• Special education support

• Nanny or babysitting experience

• Youth programs or coaching

• Other professional or structured experience working with children

Candidates without childcare experience will not be considered.

Position Summary

As an RBT or Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will implement treatment plans, teach new skills, support behavior goals, and help children make meaningful progress in their daily lives.

Responsibilities
