Discover a purpose-driven career at Astra ABA, where we prioritize individualized therapy for children. We're currently seeking passionate RBTs to join our skilled team of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapists, supporting children on their journey to realizing their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-on-1 direct care to children with autism at the client's home.
- Teach daily living and social skills using evidence-based treatments and positive reinforcement.
- Establish a relationship with the client to assess interests and motivators to effectively implement the behavior plan.
- Implement skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans written by a supervising BCBA.
- Collect accurate data for all treatment plans and behavior programs, which is then provided to the BCBA for analysis.
- Serve in a direct care role, consulting the BCBA regularly for additional support, training, and supervision.
- Adjust interventions and/or intervention methods as instructed by the supervising BCBA when necessary.
- Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of each intervention and plan for each client on his/her caseload and those on the team.
- Maintain RBT credentials by completing the RBT Competency Assessment annually as per BACB guidelines.
- Accurately track RBT supervision hours to maintain compliance.
- Renew RBT Competency Assessment and Renewal form annually, submitting them to BACB.
- Adhere to BACB Ethical Standards for RBT.
- Participate in clinical team meetings and ongoing training.
- Ensure all sessions are accurately documented, signed, and submitted for timely billing.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered Behavior Technician Certificate with the BACB.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, running, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with clients’ families and documenting sessions.
- Interpersonal skills for interactions with families.
- Valid driver’s license and access to transportation.
- Motivated team player with patience and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Verifiable work references and passing a background check.
- Minimum of 6 months experience utilizing ABA therapy with individuals with autism in a supervised setting (preferred).
