Job description

Always Family First Autism Services is seeking individuals passionate about improving the quality of life for autistic children and their families through compassion, understanding, and empathy.

Behavior Assistant

Behavior assistant services involve direct activities related to the delivery of behavior analysis services, as specified in a behavior analysis service plan. This role is the face of the organization and has a daily impact on enhancing the lives of autistic individuals and their families by providing 1:1 direct behavior analysis services in home and community settings. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans designed by supervising behavior analysts, facilitating environmental arrangements, using proactive strategies, teaching new skills, managing specific behaviors based on their function, implementing behavioral procedures for skill acquisition and behavior reduction, monitoring and displaying outcomes (e.g., graphs), assisting in caregiver and staff training, and collaborating with behavior analysts on treatment efficacy and support needs.

Behavior assistants will receive on-the-job training for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, including 40 hours of training, competency assessment, and scheduling of the exam by the BACB.

Registered Behavior Technician

The RBT certification is a paraprofessional credential in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior-analytic services under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst or RBT Requirements Coordinator.
