Job summary

Benchmark Human Services in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to implement skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans for children from birth to age three through Montana Part C Early Intervention.

Qualified candidates must reside in or near Great Falls, MT and have a high school diploma, BACB 40-hour training, and RBT certification. The role includes data collection, collaboration with BCBA, and family training.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successfully complete a criminal background registry check at time of application.
  • Complete a 40-hour training program (conducted by BACB certificant) based on the RBT Task List.
  • Pass the RBT Competency Assessment administered by a BACB certificant.
  • Successfully complete continuing education as necessary to maintain RBT certification.
  • Pay any fees to maintain RBT certification.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide family and caregiver training on the behavior support plan.
  • Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team in care plans development and implementation.
  • Communicate with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding client progress.
  • Collaborate with BCBA to ensure materials needed for plan implementation.
  • Collect and record data to monitor progress and effectiveness of plans.
  • Ensure data sheets are completed and families are trained on them.
  • Implement behavior support plans written by the BCBA/BCaBA.
  • Provide positive behavioral supports according to plans and respond to emergencies.
  • Complete documentation as required by Benchmark and regulations.
  • Provide regular written and verbal updates on goals to BCBA or BCaBA.
  • Monitor well-being of individuals by implementing health and care protocols.
  • Assist with personal care while ensuring health and safety for individuals.
  • Comply with all standards for staff, families, and individuals served.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Our Great Falls office is currently hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work with children from birth to age three through the Montana Part C Early Intervention program. The RBT will be responsible for directly implementing skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor. In addition, the RBT may collect data and assist with certain assessments, such as stimulus preference assessments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide family and caregiver training on the behavior support plan.

  • Ensuring the implementation, completion, and training of families on data sheets
  • Implement behavior support plans written by the BCBA or BCaBa
  • Provide positive behavioral supports according to the behavior support plans and respond to emergency situations as trained.
  • Complete documentation as required by Benchmark Human Services as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Provide regular written and verbal updates on behavior support plan goals to BCBA or BCaBA.
  • Monitor the general well-being of the individuals served by implementing standardized behavior protocols and health care protocols
  • Assist with personal care as required, ensure health, safety and respect for each individual served.
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all staff, families, and individuals that we serve.
  • Other duties as assigned.
