Job summary

Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment, Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a passionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver evidence-based ABA under the supervision of a BCBA.

You will implement treatment plans and help clients develop communication, social, daily living, and adaptive skills. You will collect data, maintain session notes, and collaborate with families and the interdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes while adhering to regulatory standards and ongoing

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with ASD or developmental disabilities.
• Strong data collection, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed behavioral protocols and stay calm in challenging situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients, families, and team members.
• Must pass background check and comply with state/agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed session notes and documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support client outcomes
• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions

Requirements:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
• Prior experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or developmental disabilities
• Strong data collection, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to follow detailed behavioral protocols and respond calmly in challenging situations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients, families, and team members
• Must be able to pass a background check and meet any state or agency compliance requirements
