Job summary

Budding Stars ABA in Frederick, MD is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver in-home ABA therapy to children with autism. You will implement BCBA plans, collect data, and support the child’s communication, social, and daily living skills in a compassionate setting.

Competitive hourly pay between $23 and $28, with strong on-the-job training and room for growth. A valid RBT certification and a high school diploma are required to join the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active RBT certification issued by the BACB.
• Experience with children with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong observational, data collection, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy services to clients in home settings
• Implement plans developed by the supervising BCBA accurately and consistently
• Accurately collect, record, and submit session data and notes using designated ABA software systems
• Support clients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills
• Maintain professional, compassionate, and respectful relationships with clients, their families, and caregivers
• Collaborate with the BCBA Supervisor and other team members to ensure client progress and success

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification issued by the BACB
• Prior experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities strongly preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong observational, data collection, and documentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated professionalism, compassion, accountability, and initiative in all aspects of job performance

Physical Requirements

• Physically able to lift up to 35 lbs. and engage in active play
• Must maintain attention, alertness, and energy throughout sessions
• Adequate hearing and vision required for safety and observational tasks

• Current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Completion of required onboarding, ongoing trainings, and timely certification renewals
• Must own or have access to a personal device (phone, tablet, or laptop) compatible with required software
