Job summary

Platinum Therapy is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct behavioral intervention services for students with developmental challenges. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, you will implement behavior intervention plans and collaborate with educators to promote student success in academic and social environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in educational settings is preferred.
  • Crisis prevention/intervention training is a plus.
  • Ability to follow detailed behavior plans and data collection procedures.

Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Job Summary:

Our clinic, Platinum Therapy, is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral intervention services to students with developmental, emotional, or behavioral challenges in a school setting. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT works closely with teachers, school staff, and families to implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs), support individualized education plans (IEPs), and promote student success in both academic and social environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the direction of a BCBA.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group behavioral support to students during instructional and non-instructional times (e.g., classroom, recess, lunch).
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on student behavior and skill acquisition.
  • Assist in conducting preference assessments and skill-based assessments as directed.
  • Support generalization of skills across settings (e.g., classroom, hallway, cafeteria).
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure consistent behavior support strategies.
  • Attend IEP and team meetings as required.
  • Follow protocols for managing challenging behavior, including crisis prevention and intervention when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student-related matters.
  • Participate in training, supervision, and professional development as required by the school district and BACB.


Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the BACB
    • Experience working with children, preferably in a school or educational setting
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to follow detailed behavior plans and data collection procedures
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with ABA in school settings
    • Crisis prevention/intervention training (e.g., CPI)


Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in school classrooms and other educational settings.
  • May be exposed to aggressive behaviors.
  • School hours
