The Place for Children with Autism in Bloomington, IL is hiring a Behavior Therapist to work 1:1 with children aged 2-8 with ASD, delivering individualized therapy and collecting progress data.

We offer fully paid training to earn your RBT certification, with a sign-on bonus of $2,000 for certified RBTs. The role is full-time, daytime, and in-person, with competitive pay based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and actively engage young learners.
• Willingness to travel to other clinics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children aged 2–8 with ASD to develop communication, social, and daily-living skills.
• Implement individualized therapy plans designed by BCBA(s), collect data, and participate in progress discussions.
• Bring energy, creativity, and play-based approaches to promote growth and learning.
• Collaborate with families to celebrate wins, address challenges, and support each child’s development.

What We Offer

Competitive Pay Based on Your Experience & Education:

• High School orAssociate’s Degree: $17.05 – $23.00 per hour, with $1.00 per hour increases every six months (based on your starting level at hire).
• Master’s Degree: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour.

WhatYou’llDo

• Work 1:1 with children between the ages of 2-8 withAutism Spectrum Disorder(ASD), helping them learn communication, social, anddaily-livingskills.
• Implement individualized therapy programs designed by our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), collect data, and participate in team discussions around progress and strategy.
• Bring energy, creativity, and passion – Using play, movement, and laughter to engage children while promoting skill-building and growth.
• Partner with clients and their families in celebrating wins, problem-solving challenges, and promoting each child’s growth.

WhatWe’reLooking For

• Energeticteam players who show up ready to engage and move with children throughout their sessions – This includes bending, squatting,lifting upto 30 pounds, and keeping pace with energetic young learners during play and activities.
• A collaborator ready to take on multiple tasks and decisions at once – whether it’s guiding a child, taking notes, or communicating with parents or clinical staff.

• Must be at least 18 years old and hold a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Have accessibility to reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance, and be able to travel to other clinics to support when assigned.
