Job summary

Majestic Care ABA is seeking dynamic Registered Behavior Technicians to join our growing team in Northbrook, IL. This position supports children through evidence‑based ABA therapy in home or clinic settings and offers on‑the‑job training.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a passion for helping children, willing to learn, and able to lift 50 pounds when required. A 40‑hour RBT training course is expected or can be completed with our training support; a valid license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred.
• Experience working directly with children in behavioral settings preferred.
• Completion of 40-hour RBT training course.
• Valid RBT certificate encouraged (we will train if not currently registered).
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills desired with willingness to advance skill level.
• Accept assignment of location or client as required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Treat clients with respect and dignity.
• Appropriately engage client during the session.
• Act as a role model for clients and caregivers.
• Be consistent, reliable, and provide services on agreed scheduled days. In case of cancellation, attempt to make up the session and notify BCBA of any discrepancies.
• Maintain professional and effective communication with family/caregivers.
• At minimum, will be supervised by a BCBA weekly or in accordance to the client’s treatment plan and must be ready to provide feedback to the BCBA on progress.
• Will meet with supervisor weekly or in accordance to the client’s treatment plan to discuss progress, program development, and analyzing data of child.
• Notes should be taken daily in Rethink during the last 15 minutes of the session.
• Session notes require parent signatures for in-home therapy sessions.
• Data collection and notes should be taken on devices given by Majestic Care ABA, and not personal devices.
• Keep a weekly reinforcement checklist and let BCBA know if anything additional is needed.
• Maintain clean and organized toys and materials.
• Not responsible for other children in the household.
• Charting and collecting ABA and skill data on the child’s improvement or lack thereof in the abilities of the child.
• Implement ABA teaching techniques during session, such as differential reinforcement, shaping, chaining, task analysis, prompting, fading, and proactive strategies.
• Follow programming objectives and follow treatment plan (BIP when applicable).
