Job summary

ChildServe in Iowa is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) to support our ABA program. You will implement child-specific ABA programs, collect data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help children reach goals.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:45am–4:45pm with 40 hours per week guaranteed. We offer medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA/FSA options, EAP, a 403(b) match, life and disability insurance, and PTO, plus strong training and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or active RBT Certification required.
  • Preferred: minimum of two years’ experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred or willing to become registered within 6 months of hire.
  • Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., be mobile within the work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of program plans and provide updates on progress. Ensure that each client’s individual plan is implemented as written.
  • Maintain appropriate records, collect data and complete treatment notes as required and within the specified time frames.
  • Participate in all training that enables performance of duties effectively, efficiently, and competently (ex. staff meetings, orientation, in-services).
  • BT must abide by the subset of the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code designated as relevant to the practice of behavior technicians.
  • Perform other BT duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of certification.
  • Be willing to provide direct care in the Autism Day Health Program if needed.

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at ChildServe is responsible for the direct implementation of child specific Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs as written by the Behavior Analyst. RBTs work with the child and family by providing behavioral interventions and skill acquisition programming.

What You'll Need
