Job summary

AWARE in Bozeman, MT is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a full-time role. The position offers competitive compensation starting at $19.00 to $23.59 per hour, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

The RBT will support individuals and families, following treatment plans and collaborating with the treatment team. We value a compassionate, inclusive work environment and a culture of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or HSE required.
• Valid Montana Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
• Acceptable criminal and protective services background check required.

Responsibilities

• Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
• Increases the frequency or duration of safe replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations).
• Accurately collects behavior data including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, event, and interval based recording.
• Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks appropriate consultation.
• Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
• Educates all those involved about the role of ABA based interventions and the RBT, and functions within boundaries of the RBT role in providing treatment.

Requirements

Talents, skills, and abilities:

• Interpersonal oral and written communications skills to work as a team member, to make observations and to report them accurately, to learn behavioral and clinical, methods, and to follow oral and written instructions and have the ability to facilitate meetings;


• High School Diploma or HSE is required;


• A valid Montana Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one, and an acceptable driving record;


• An acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
