Job Summary:
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides 1:1 behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and supports their families. RBTs implement Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs as directed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst under the supervision of the Director of Nursing/Nursing Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification required
- All employees must pass a background screening and drug test
Responsibilities:
- Maintain current registration with the BACB
- Assist the BCBA in implementing behavioral programs in a 1:1 setting
- Collect data and write progress notes
- Advise and consult with families and agency personnel
- Participate in and present at in-service programs
- Follow established policies and procedures
- Participate in patient care planning with healthcare team
- Instruct patients and families in home programs and protocols
- Attend staff meetings and conferences
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Document instructions and observations in medical records
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Report incidents or variances immediately
- Maintain current CPR certification
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, guaranteed 30 hours/week, with 1-2 locations.
Physical Demands: Regular talking, hearing, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
