Job summary

DABS, Inc. in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional with RBT experience to deliver hands-on support and implement individualized care plans rooted in dignity and respect.

You will work under a behavior analyst and clinical team to carry out BIPs, assist with daily living activities, medication support, and transportation while maintaining ethical standards. We offer paid sick leave, mileage reimbursement, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
• Experience with adults with developmental disabilities and managing challenging behaviors.
• Valid Driver’s License, personal vehicle, and insurance.
• CPR certification and a TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed).
• Willingness to undergo state and federal fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under supervision and collect progress data.
• Assist with daily living activities including light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and personal hygiene routines.
• Assist with medication administration and provide transportation to clients when needed.
• Collaborate with supervisor, parents/caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency of care.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines regarding professional conduct and scope of practice.

As a Direct Support Professional with RBT experience, you’ll provide hands‑on support to participants while helping to implement thoughtful, individualized care rooted in respect, dignity, and real‑world goals.

What You’ll Do

• Under the supervision of a behavior analyst and our clinical team, you will effectively implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and will collect and record data to monitor progress.
• You will aid clients with everyday activities that include light housekeeping, meal preparation, running errands, and helping to create or provide personal hygiene routines.
• You will assist with medication administration and provide transportation to clients when needed.
• You will actively seek clinical direction from your supervisor in a timely manner and collaborate with parents/caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency and continuity of care during and outside of sessions.
• You will adhere to ethical guidelines regarding professional conduct and scope of practice.
