Job summary

DABS, Inc. provides comprehensive skills training and supported living services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Oakland, CA. Join a mission-driven team delivering dignity and independence, with opportunities for growth and training.

You will implement individualized BIPs, assist with daily living tasks, and collaborate with a clinical team to ensure consistent care for clients. A valid driver’s license, CPR, and RBT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification required.
• Experience with adults with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• Valid Driver's License, personal vehicle and auto insurance.
• CPR certification and a TB test; assistance available to obtain both.
• Willingness to undergo state/federal fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Implement BIPs under supervision and collect data to monitor progress.
• Assist with daily living activities: light housekeeping, meals, errands, personal hygiene.
• Assist with medication administration and provide client transportation when needed.
• Seek clinical direction and coordinate with parents/caregivers and other stakeholders.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and scope of practice.

What You'll Do

• Under the supervision of a behavior analyst and our clinical team, you will effectively implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and will collect and record data to monitor progress
• You will aid clients with everyday activities that include light housekeeping, meal preparation, running errands, and helping to create or provide personal hygiene routines
• You will assist with medication administration and provide transportation to clients when needed
• You will actively seek clinical direction from your supervisor in a timely manner and collaborate with parents/caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency and continuity of care during and outside of sessions
• You will adhere to ethical guidelines regarding professional conduct and scope of practice

What You Bring

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and managing severe challenging behaviors
• A valid Driver’s License, personal vehicle, and insurance.
• CPR Certification and a recent TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed)
• Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check
