Job summary

Achieve Beyond is hiring part-time, hourly Registered Behavior Technicians to support pediatric therapy in the Bronx. You will provide ABA instruction per the BCBA plan, collaborate with BCBA and therapists, and share practical resources with families to promote consistency at home and in the community.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of supervised experience with children and hold or are pursuing related bachelor’s studies; RBT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children, families, and therapists.
• 1–2 years of supervised experience with children ages 2–21.
• Enrollment in or completion of an undergrad program in psychology or related field.
• RBT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the BCBA plan.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and therapists.
• Communicate with families and provide resources for home/community use.
• Collect daily data and maintain the child’s program book.
• Maintain confidentiality per state and federal regulations.

Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through our ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Now Hiring: Part-time, Hourly Registered Behavior Technicians

LOCATION: Cases Available Throughout the Bronx

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case
• Communicate frequently with family members by providing debriefs at the end of each session, as well as resources and strategies that can be implemented in the home and community to promote consistency
• Collect daily data and organize child's program book weekly
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations

Requirements

Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists!

• At least 1-2 years working with children ages 2-21 in a supervised setting

OR

successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or related field

• Experience using ABA preferred
• Holds RBT Certification from BACB

Other Requirements

• Must be self- motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with children, family members, and supervisor
• Passionate about helping children and families, and providing services of the highest standards!
• Must be comfortable working in a home-based setting

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to climb and descend staircases
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods

Compensation is determined based on experience and education, and will be discussed during the interview process.
