Job summary

Achieve Beyond is hiring Part-time, hourly Registered Behavior Technicians to support pediatric therapy services across Nassau County and surrounding areas. You will provide direct ABA instruction, collect data, and communicate with families to reinforce strategies in home and community settings.

  • RBT Certification from BACB required or in progress.
  • Undergraduate study in psychology, healthcare, or related field.
  • Experience with ABA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct ABA instruction per the Board Certified Behavior Analyst plan.
  • Participate in team meetings with BCBA and other therapists.
  • Debrief families after sessions and share home strategies.
  • Collect daily data and maintain the program book weekly.
  • Maintain confidentiality per state and federal rules.

Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through our ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Now Hiring: Part-time, Hourly Registered Behavior Technicians
LOCATION: Cases Available Throughout NassauCounty
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case
  • Communicate frequently with family members by providing debriefs at the end of each session, as well as resources and strategies that can be implemented in the home and community to promote consistency
  • Collect daily data and organize child's program book weekly
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations
Requirements

Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists!

  • At least 1-2 years working with children ages 2-21 in a supervised setting

OR

successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or related field

  • Experience using ABA preferred
  • Holds RBT Certification from BACB
Other Requirements
  • Must be self- motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with children, family members, and supervisor
  • Passionate about helping children and families, and providing services of the highest standards!
  • Must be comfortable working in a home-based setting
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods

Compensation is starting at $18/hr and determined based on experience/education, and will be discussed during the interview process.

$250 sign-on bonus after 60 days of maintaining a case
