Job summary

Konik is seeking a Minnesota-licensed Architect to join a multidisciplinary engineering and facilities design team in Saint Paul. Direct Hire, on-site role focusing on ownership of projects from concept through construction documents.

You will lead architectural design for industrial, laboratory, and commercial environments, stamping drawings as Architect of Record and coordinating with mechanical/electrical engineers to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• MN licensed architect required.
• 7+ years architectural design experience in industrial/manufacturing/facilities environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and RevIt, Autodesk tools, and Bluebeam.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety, and construction documentation standards.
• Experience developing full drawing sets with high technical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and prepare complete construction document packages (demo plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, wall sections, details, specifications).
• Serve as Architect of Record, stamping drawings and ensuring code compliance.
• Design facility improvements for industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, research, and commercial environments.
• Coordinate with in-house mechanical and electrical engineers for integrated solutions.
• Participate in client meetings, site reviews, and design discussions translating client needs into technical solutions.
• Manage architectural deliverables across multiple projects ensuring quality, accuracy, and schedule.

Saint Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $125k-$155k | On-site

Konik is partnering with a multidisciplinary engineering and facilities design firm in the Saint Paul area seeking a Minnesota-licensed Architect to join a growing facilities team. This role is ideal for an experienced architect who enjoys owning projects from concept through construction documents and wants to stay deeply involved in design and documentation.

You will work on challenging renovation and facility improvement projects that support research, laboratory, manufacturing, office, and technical environments. Working alongside mechanical and electrical engineering professionals, you will lead architectural design efforts, prepare complete drawing packages, perform code reviews, and serve as the Architect of Record for a variety of commercial and industrial projects.

Registered Architect Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural design and prepare complete construction document packages including demolition plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, wall sections, details, and specifications.
• Serve as the Architect of Record, reviewing and stamping drawings while ensuring compliance with applicable building, life safety, and accessibility codes.
• Design facility improvements for industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, research, and commercial environments.
• Coordinate closely with in-house mechanical and electrical engineers to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Participate in client meetings, site reviews, and design discussions while translating client needs into practical technical solutions.
• Manage architectural deliverables across multiple projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and schedule commitments.
• Support construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, and design clarifications.

Registered Architect Qualifications:

• Licensed Architect in MN; Professional Architectural Degree
• 7+ years of architectural design experience within industrial, manufacturing, facilities, institutional, or commercial building environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and / or Revit, Autodesk design tools, and Bluebeam
• Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety requirements, and construction documentation standards.
• Experience developing full drawing sets with a high level of technical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  

Preferred Experience:

• NCARB certified
• Industrial or manufacturing facility design.
• Experience supporting laboratory, research or technically complex facility projects.
