Job summary

Daymark Recovery Services is seeking an RN to provide nursing services in the medical unit at Lee Center in Sanford, NC. The role requires adapting to a psychiatric setting, coordinating medication-related tasks, and supporting the treatment team.

The Nurse will participate in crisis intervention, interdisciplinary planning, and documentation, ensuring high-quality care for clients and families within the program’s framework.

Qualifications

• RN required with graduation from a four-year state accredited nursing program.
• One year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides medication evaluation and prescription coordination.
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case support activities.
• Provides crisis intervention consultation to the team.
• Participates in peer review processes for therapists.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Pay Scale

RN: $35/hr.-$40/hr.

Summary:

Provides nursing services to the medical unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides medication evaluation, medication checks, calls in prescriptions, obtains samples, sometimes may provide individual, group and family therapy and subsequent paperwork.
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, case support activities
• Provides crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team
• Participates in peer review process for therapists
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Special Attributes:

Strong psychosocial, clinical assessment skills. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professions and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.

Education and/or Experience:

RN: Graduation from a four-year state accredited school of nursing and one year of experience in psychiatric nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
