Job summary

Wind River Environmental is seeking an experienced Regional Wastewater Engineering & Operations Manager to lead both engineering and hands-on operations for our Northeast facilities, including Beacon, NY; Waymart, PA; Old Lyme, CT; and Taunton, MA. The role combines technical leadership with P&L oversight and safety accountability.

Approximately half the time is focused on corporate engineering and capital planning, and the rest on day-to-day plant operations, regulatory compliance, and staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent).
• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in wastewater treatment or mechanical/industrial engineering.
• Engineering degree preferred but not required with substantial relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical leadership for wastewater facilities.
• Lead capital projects from scope to closeout with budgets and timelines.
• Support process optimization, equipment upgrades, and reliability improvements.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and safety across facilities.
• Develop staff and mentor operators and technical personnel.
• Collaborate with vendors, regulators, and senior leadership to improve financial performance.
