Job summary

Vizient is seeking a Vice President, Regional Leader (VPRL) to drive sustained client value, profitable growth, and market leadership in the U.S. northeast region by translating analytics and spend insights into compelling narratives for health system C‑suite leaders.

The VPRL will lead high‑performing account management teams, own client P&L, and align Vizient’s spend management capabilities across clinical, purchased services, and indirect spend categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare supply chain and spend management.
• Proven success leading large, geographically dispersed high‑performing teams with P&L accountability.
• Proven experience working with executive and C‑suite leaders in complex health systems.
• Documented track record of results, evidenced by clear, quantifiable outcomes (e.g., cost improvement, performance gains, growth, or transformation).
• Deep understanding of healthcare supply chain operations and how sourcing and spend strategies translate into operational, clinical, and financial outcomes.
• Coaching & Talent Development: Strong track record of developing leaders and building high‑performing teams.
• Financial & Business Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management, healthcare economics, and value‑based decision‑making.
• Executive Presence & Influence: Proven ability to influence senior leaders through credibility and trusted advisory leadership.
• Ability to travel regularly to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, Talent Development & Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop Account Management teams and cross‑functional resources, establishing clear performance expectations and accountability.
• Strategic Leadership & Client Value: Serve as a strategic advisor to client executive leadership, driving strategy that increases engagement, value realization, retention, and profitability.
• Financial & Business Accountability: Lead and manage client P&L performance, driving revenue growth, margins, and cost discipline.
• Executive Presence, Influence & Negotiation: Represent Vizient with credibility at the executive level, guiding high‑stakes negotiations and overcoming resistance.
• Analytics, Insights & Storytelling: Translate complex analytics into clear executive narratives to drive action and adoption across categories.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with enterprise account management, category experts, and business leaders to maximize client value.
